Bridges We Make
Suspension Bridge: The suspension bridge is a bridge suspened from cables. The bridge gets its support from the tension in the cables. The suspension bridge design is the most common. It requires less material , so the cost of building one is less than most bridges. Also, the suspension bridge can cover long distances. We have been making these bridges since 1987.
Cable-stayed Bridge: This type of bridge is an evolution of the suspension bridge. Instead of the cables being attatched to bases the cables are linked to the towers which support the load. There are two types of cable-stayed bridges, which are harp and fan. In the harp design the cables are attatched to alot of different points of the tower in a parallel layout. The fan design consist of the cables connecting to the tower or passing over it. This is relatively cheaper than the becasue it requires less cable and can use any number of towers required.
Truss Bridge: The truss bridge is our specialty. This is an older type of bridge design. It uses straight elements and triangular units that are connected at joint pins to form the skeleton. Before the current technological advances, truss bridges were built out of wood for compression and iron rods for bearing tension. These bridges are one of the best as far as support.
